Biography

Dr Mohammad Abbas S is a highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon with over 7+ years of experience in orthpaedics. He is currently serving as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Travancore Medicity, where he is widely recognised for his expertise in complex trauma & arthroplasty. Dr Abbas completed his MBBS with first class from Travancore Medical College, Kollam. He pursued his postgraduate diploma in Orthopaedics [D. Ortho] from the prestigious Government Medical College, TVM, completing the program in 2020. Following this, he served as a senior resident at the Government. Medical College, Kollam[2020 – 21] and later worked as a junior consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Holycross Hospital, Kottiyam, Kollam [2021 – 2022]. He subsequently completed his post-diploma DNB in orthopaedic surgery from Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, one of the highest volume trauma and orthopaedic centres in South Asia & was awarded DNB in 2024. During his tenure, he received the best Thesis Award from NBEMS in 2024 and was also recognised at the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association – Young Surgeon Forum [APOA – YSF] 2025, reflecting his strong academic and research excellence. He was awarded MNAMS in 2025. Dr Abbas further enriched his clinical experience as an orthopaedic surgeon at One Care Hospital, Coimbatore, before joining the Travancore Medicity family.
