The Department of General Surgery is actively involved in the management of all general surgical problems including emergency services. The department highlights on day-care surgical procedures, aiming minimal surgical scars and early rehabilitation which take the patient back to his/her routines in a couple of days. Large surgical wounds and disfiguring scars can be erased with the help of this new division. Research in the department has grown tremendously over the past several years.

We are proud to inaugurate our newly established Podiatry Unit — a state-of-the-art facility designed to deliver comprehensive and specialised foot care services. This dedicated unit focuses on the early detection, prevention and advanced management of diabetic foot conditions, ensuring timely interventions that can significantly reduce complications. The Podiatry Unit offers expert wound care, infection control, and limb-preservation treatments supported by a multidisciplinary healthcare team. With this addition, we aim to enhance patient outcomes, improve mobility, and provide holistic care for individuals with complex foot-related concerns.
