Biography
Gained laparoscopic training in 2001 from the Indian Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery. Performed the first laparoscopic appendectomy in the Government Sector in 2002. Started stapler surgery for piles for the first time in the government sector in 2009. Started a laparoscopic surgery unit in the government sector at the district hospital in Kollam in 2010. I had developed & published my own surgical techniques for painless varicose vein surgery, modification of hemoplasty & published techniques to prevent postoperative oedema in hemi surgery, and published surgical techniques for repairing large abdominal wall defects. Started laser surgery for piles for the first time in Kollam at Travancore Medicity.
