Biography

“Dr. Jyothi Prakash J is a dedicated Neurologist with advanced training in the diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of neurological disorders across both outpatient and inpatient settings. He completed his MBBS from T.D. Medical College, Alappuzha, MD in General Medicine from K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College, Tiruchirappalli, and advanced training in DM Neurology at Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai. His clinical expertise includes cerebrovascular diseases, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders, neuroimmunological diseases, headaches, neuroinfections, and cognitive disorders, with a strong emphasis on precise clinical localization and evidence-based treatment.

Before specializing in Neurology, Dr. Jyothi Prakash J served as an RNTCP Medical Officer at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, where he led tuberculosis care, coordinated multidisciplinary services, and contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He further broadened his clinical experience as a Non-PG Registrar in the Department of Psychiatry at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, managing psychiatric emergencies, inpatient care, and psychotherapy. He subsequently worked as a Consultant Physician at Muthoot Medical Centre, Pathanamthitta, providing comprehensive care for acute medical emergencies and chronic diseases while actively mentoring DNB postgraduate trainees.

Dr. Jyothi Prakash J has special expertise in acute stroke care, including thrombolysis and secondary stroke prevention, epilepsy management, neurocritical care, and neurophysiological investigations such as EEG, NCS, EMG, and evoked potentials.
