Biography

Dr. Aneesh Kumar is a highly skilled Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist with over 9 years of experience in the diagnosis and management of complex respiratory diseases. He is committed to delivering advanced, evidence-based pulmonary care with a strong focus on minimally invasive procedures, patient safety, and improved respiratory health.

Currently serving as a Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist at Travancore Medical College Hospital, Dr. Aneesh is widely recognized for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of respiratory disorders. His special areas of interest include the management of complex airway diseases such as asthma, comprehensive evaluation and treatment of pleural diseases, and advanced interventional pulmonology.

Dr. Aneesh is proficient in a wide range of advanced bronchoscopic procedures, including flexible bronchoscopy, video bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), and rigid bronchoscopy. These minimally invasive techniques enable accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of various airway, lung, and mediastinal disorders while minimizing patient discomfort and recovery time.

He also has specialized expertise in Sleep Medicine, with experience in the evaluation and management of sleep-related breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) and other sleep-associated respiratory conditions. Also attained fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad.

Prior to joining Travancore Medical College Hospital, Dr. Aneesh refined his clinical and procedural skills at leading healthcare institutions. He served as a Senior Resident in Pulmonary Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai from 2015 to 2017, where he gained extensive experience in advanced respiratory care and interventional pulmonology. He later worked as a Consultant Pulmonologist at KIMS Hospital, Kollam, from 2017 to 2019, managing a wide range of complex pulmonary disorders.
