Biography

“Dr. Madhusudanan is a distinguished Senior Neurologist with an illustrious career spanning over four decades in clinical practice, medical education, and academic leadership. He earned his DM in Neurology from the prestigious Postgraduate Institute (PGI), Chandigarh, in 1983, laying the foundation for a lifetime dedicated to excellence in neurological care.

Following his super-specialty training, he joined the Government Medical College faculty, where he served with distinction in various academic and clinical roles. Through years of dedicated service, he rose to become Professor and Head of the Department of Neurology, retiring from government service in 2007 after making significant contributions to patient care, neurological education, and postgraduate training.

After his retirement, Dr. Madhusudanan continued his academic and clinical career as Professor of Neurology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences for four years. He subsequently served as Professor of Neurology at Pushpagiri Medical College and also practiced as a Senior Consultant Neurologist at PRS Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, further strengthening neurological services and mentoring young neurologists.

He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Neurology at Manipal University, reflecting his continued commitment to academic excellence, research, and the advancement of neurological sciences. With decades of experience in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of neurological disorders—including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, dementia, and other complex neurological conditions—Dr. Madhusudanan is widely respected for his clinical expertise, sound judgment, and compassionate approach to patient care. Throughout his distinguished career, he has remained committed to evidence-based medicine, ethical clinical practice, and the education of future generations of neurologists.
