Biography
Dr. Nazimudeen E. is a distinguished Chief Consultant Physician with an exceptional career spanning 46 years of medical practice. A native of Kollam, he is widely respected for his vast clinical experience, dedication to patient care, and outstanding contributions to public healthcare.
Dr. Nazimudeen completed his pre-university education at S.N. College, Kollam, followed by his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. He subsequently earned his postgraduate degree in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Kozhikode, laying a strong foundation for his long and accomplished medical career.
He served the Government of Kerala in various capacities under the Insurance Medical Services (IMS), where he held several important clinical and administrative positions. Following years of distinguished service, he retired as the Deputy Director of Insurance Medical Services, having played a significant role in strengthening healthcare delivery within the state. In recognition of his exemplary service and dedication to public healthcare, the Government of Kerala honoured Dr. Nazimudeen with the prestigious “Best Doctor Award” for his outstanding contributions to the Insurance Medical Services. Since 2009, Dr. Nazimudeen has been associated with Travancore Medical College Hospital as Chief Consultant Physician, where he continues to provide comprehensive, evidence-based medical care. He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions and is known for his meticulous clinical assessment, sound judgment, and compassionate, patient-centered approach.
