Dr Shammas B.M. is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. He has strong expertise in managing orthopaedic trauma, sports injuries, degenerative joint diseases, infections, congenital disorders, and other bone-related conditions. He is the founder director of Arthrolearn, a hands-on arthroscopy training workshop that uses a wet knee simulator, aimed at improving practical skills in arthroscopic surgery. His special interest lies in joint preservation and sports surgery, particularly within the field of arthroscopy. Dr Shammas is committed to delivering patient -centrered care with a focus on accurate diagnosis, advanced treatment techniques, and optimal functional recovery. He communicates effectively with patients in English and Malayalam, ensuring a clear understanding and comfort during treatment. He currently practices at Travancore Medicity, providing expert orthopaedic care during his outpatient consultation hours.
