Travancore Medicity’s Child Development Centre recently hosted a gathering aimed at raising awareness about autism on Autism Awareness Day. The event brought together children, parents, and medical professionals in a spirit of education and enjoyment. Activities commenced with informative quizzes designed to enhance understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Additionally, a coloring competition and clay modeling contest were organized to celebrate the creative talents of the children.
Integral to the program were insightful discussions led by esteemed professionals in the field. Dr. Veerendra Kumar (Head of Pediatrics), Dr. Jumali (Pediatric Consultant), Dr. Meera (Developmental Pediatrician), Gokul S (Occupational Therapist), and Ashley Paul (Speech Language Pathologist), provided insights into autism and its various treatment options.
